As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer (FDE) at Aladin AI, you will work directly with customers to quickly understand their most pressing problems and design innovative, data-driven solutions. In this role, you'll apply your problem-solving abilities, creativity, and technical skills to help organizations leverage their data to make a real impact in the world. What You'll Do

  • Own High-Stakes Projects: Work in small teams to deliver critical projects for clients, taking full ownership from conception to deployment.
  • Build Large-Scale AI Workflows: Develop and implement AI workflows that operate on a large scale, addressing complex industrial challenges.

Requirements

Technical Excellence
  • Engineering Background: Strong engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Machine Learning.
  • Strong ML Foundation: Solid foundation in machine learning fundamentals, including evaluation, training, and problem decomposition.
  • AI Expertise: Past experience building solutions with AI and a deep understanding of the machine learning and reinforcement learning landscape.
  • Programming Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar.
  • Data: Comfortable working with large-scale or messy data and iterating quickly
  • Bonus: Experience with control systems (PID, MPC Control), Reinforcement Learning and real-time AI Agents

About the Role

Work closely with our technical founder to build our core ML capabilities including data processing, simulation, model development, validation, agent training, and ML operations.

Role Details

As an Data Scientist you will work closely with our technical founder to build our core ML capabilities. This includes data processing, simulation, model development, validation, agent training, and ML operations. To build impactful solutions, you will immerse yourself deeply into our industrial customers' reality to apply your experience and intuition of ML technologies to the task and work closely with our platform engineers to bring results to production in short iteration cycles. What You'll Do

  • Data Processing: Together with our platform team develop tooling to automate the processing and analysis of massive amounts of real-time industrial process data such as high frequency sensor data.
  • Model Development: Research, train and evaluate AI models to optimize industrial processes, using state of the art re-enforcement learning, numerical optimization, and control theory.
  • Algorithm Development: Merge physical insights and customer knowledge with AI to improve model performance and safety and tailor our models to customer needs.
  • Performance Validation: Validate AI efficacy across diverse datasets, ensuring robust performance.
  • Quality & Safety Monitoring: Develop quantitative methods for automated monitoring of models in production.
  • Model Deployment: Work closely with our platform engineers to integrate ML into the production environment.

Requirements

Technical Excellence
  • ML Expertise: Strong background in Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, or Applied Mathematics – ideally with experience in control, simulation, or time-series modeling
  • Production-Ready Skills: Proficient in Python and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow)
  • Operational Understanding: Solid grasp of MLOps principles and experience taking models from research into production
